Oli Webb clings to the lead of the British F3 Mirror.co.uk Challenge Cup by a single point following the Spa-Francorchamps rounds of the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series.
Two second-place finishes for Worcestershire driver Calado has boosted him to 126 points in the Challenge, which seeks to reward young British drivers. Mancunian Webb, who has led the Challenge all season, has 127 points; he crashed out of the third of the Spa races.
Webb’s second spot in the overall championship standings is also coming under pressure from Calado.
Battle resumes on Saturday at Thruxton.
